- Chole Neill - a great author, who writes about vampires in one of my favourite cities, Chicago.
- Good Reads - a networking site for readers to share what they're reading and what they think of it.
- Ilona Andrews - one of my favourite authors, her work never fails to hook me.
Cooking
- Food.com - this is an interesting site with user- posted and created recipes. i especially like the reviews and suggestions, and the ability to scale up recipes as needed.
- Milk Conversion Chart - surprisingly useful, especially if you're like me and forget to check the milk before starting to bake...
- Smitten Kitchen - i love. funny, personal posts with excellent pictures, a great range of different foods and i have honestly never made anything from this site that hasn't skipped straight to the top of my favourites list. the index is really well organized.
Crochet
- NeedleNoodles - i love the book 'Creepy Crochet', and this is the home of the talented author. lots of helpful how-to videos.
- Ravelry - a networking/project organizing/pattern sharing site for crochet and knitting. lots of useful tools.
- Stitch 'N Bitch - the worldwide knitting and crocheting group, i found their 'Happy Hooker' book a perfect place to learn the crochet basics, and still use it as a go-to for special stitches.
- Twinkie Chan - fun & funky patterns for unique crochet work, 'Crochet Goodies for Fashion Foodies' is awesome. and i love her tattoos!
Other
- Online Conversion - an easy-to-use website for converting anything: length, weight, volume...excellent for adapting recipes or metric and imperial measurements.
- Etsy - a great place to buy and sell handcrafted items and supplies. hopefully one day i'll be selling my things there, but for now i'm just going bankrupt buying everything in sight.
- Warm Biscuit - they sell a great range of fun and vintage-style fabrics.
